THE INSTITUTE:

     Sudhir Surya Yoga College & Research Centre is an autonomous organization and fully depended on donations and earning from its sources. Sudhir Surya Yoga College & Research Centre is a focal institute for planning, training, promotion and co-ordination of Physical Education, Sports, Yoga education, training, therapy and research in all its subjects.

THE OBJECTIVES OF THE INSTITUTE:
  • To act as a center of excellence in Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga.
  • To develop, promote and propagate the science and art of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga, and
  • To provide and promote facilities of training, teaching and research to fulfill the above two objectives.

CHARTER OF FUNCTIONS:
  • To undertake and promote, guide and co-ordinate research activities in various aspects of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga.
  • To standardize the methods and curriculum for Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga education and training.
  • To provide and promote facilities for training in the field of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga.
  • To promote Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga at national and international level by organizing conferences and workshops and popularizing through media.
  • To compile information and propagate the existing knowledge about Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga
  • To develop a database on the knowledge regarding scientific discoveries, institutions involved in Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga research, scientific and their contributions in the field of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga.
  • To encourage and support facilities for making the benefits of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga widely available.
  • To hold examinations and award academic distinctions in Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga.
  • To co-ordinate and integrate the concepts and activities of various schools of Education, Physical Education, Sports and Yoga and for that purpose co-ordinate with other institutions.

ON LINE COURSES
FOUNDATION COURSE IN YOGA. (FCY)

     This course is designed to promote physical, mental and spiritual health of an individual and also to lead a happy and healthy life. This is a foundation course for all training programme of the institute.


ELIGIBILITY;

     This course is open for all individuals who can read and write and also interested to practice yoga. Persons with chronic ailments are not allowed to take this programme.

YOGA INTRODUCTORY PROGRAMME: (YIP)

     This programme is designed to introduce Yoga Philosophy and practices for common men in shorter duration, to promote physical, mental and spiritual health of an individual and also to lead a happy and healthy life.


ELIGIBILITY:

The course is open to all who can read and write and interested to learn Yoga.


MEDITATION PROGRAMME (MP)

      This course is designed to introduce meditation for promotion of mental and spiritual health of an individual and to help then to manage stress and stress related disorders, thus bringing harmony and peace in the society.


ELIGIBILITY:

     This course is open for all individuals who can read and write. Foundation course is of this institute is desirable.


YOGA KRIYAS PROGRAMME (PURIFICATIONS PRACTICES)

     There are no better means than the Sudhir Yogic system of purification to keep the body clean, healthy and beautiful. Our body has three basis properties: Vaat, Pitt and Kaph. If these three are present in the body in a balanced form, the body remains pure and disease free. There are six fold yogic purification practices in Sudhir Yoga Kriyas, which helps to maintain them in a balanced form. If this balance is disturbed, the body becomes regularly will generally have no ailments. Those who do Sudhir Yoga Kriyas practices regularly will generally have no ailment.


     To do this course the foundation course in Yoga is compulsory.


PRANAYAMA PROGRAMME

     The word meaning of Pranayama is the “expansion of Prans”. While some people equates prans with air or breath and therefore, define pranayama as the exercise of breathing. But this concept is wrong and misleading, Prans, infect is the vital energy which pervades each and every element of the world, whether organic or inorganic. It is no doubt related to the air and breath. But prans s not only the air, it is the vital energy in the air. While talking of pranayama, Sudhir Yoga always keeps in mind the difference between the air and the vital energy within it. Pranayama through Sudhir Yoga is to inspire, infuse, control, regulate and balance the Prans Shakti (Vital Energy) in the body. It has been said in Vyasa Bhashya, “There is no greater tapa than Pranayama. It washes away the impurities and leads to the light of real knowledge”.In the words of Manu, “Just as the impurities of metals (gold etc.) are removed by the flame of fire, the indriyas throw out their impurities through Pranayama”.


To do this course foundation course of Sudhir Yoga is compulsory.
AWARD OF DIPLOMA

     A candidate shall be eligible for the award of the Diploma if he/she has passed all the examinations prescribed thereof.
